François Hollande create an observatory of secularism
The President announced that he would set up the observatory secularism created on paper in March 2007, Jacques Chirac but abandoned by Nicolas Sarkozy.
François Hollande announced Sunday, December 9th the establishment in 2013 of a "National Observatory of secularism" . The timing is not coincidental . President of the Republic made ??the announcement on the anniversary of the Law of 9 December 1905 on the separation of church and state and the occasion of the presentation of the insignia of Officer of the Legion of Honour religious sociologist Émile Poulat.
Francois Hollande je objavio (u nedjelju 9.prosinca) organiziranje "National Observatory of secularism" ( nacionalni "opservatorij" za sekularizam)-što se organizira na godišnjicu Zakona od 9. prosinca 1905. kojim je odvojena crkva od države i prilikom predstavljanja nagrade "Officer of the Legion of Honour"- religioznog sociologa Émile Poulata.

François Hollande je rekao svoju koncepciju sekularizma " To nije "dogma" ni "doktrina" već umjetnost zajedničkog življenja" (

A decree signed by Dominique de Villepin
End of 2006, Jacques Chirac announced the creation of such a body which was especially requested by the High Council for Integration. In March 2007, a few months before the presidential election, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin has a charter of secularism and signed the decree which established the Observatory. But the newly elected president, Nicolas Sarkozy, never gave away and did Observatory since a life of paper.
A new mission, secular morality
Nova misija- sekularna moralnost
( u školama)
According to the initial project, the observatory was to provide elements of analysis on the state of secularism, ensure the implementation of the Charter and, if necessary, to anticipate potential conflicts. Sunday, François Hollande has given him an additional mission: to "make proposals on the transmission of secular morality to give her a worthy place in the school " .
In September, the Minister of Education Vincent Peillon announced the establishment of a mission on the transmission of "secular morality" at school, which would become a full-fledged discipline....
Three ministers will speak
Since his election, the president was careful to return to the subject. In a context quite tense with the proposed gay marriage criticized by all religious leaders, let he government members say about secularism and the intentions of the majority? Tuesday, December 11th, on the occasion of the third Meeting of secularism organized by the Socialist group at the meeting, not less than three ministers are expected to speak: Christiane Taubira (Justice), Vincent Peillon (Education) and Manuel Valls (Interior).
