CJW Prize Recognizes Research on Agunot Study on Halakhic divorces wins ICJW Research Prize
Istraživanje o Agunot - studija o razvodima ( prema Halahi) pobijedila je za nagradu koju dodjeljuje ICJW
The second International Council of Jewish Women’s Academic Research Prize has been awarded to Dr. Nechama Hadari of the UK for her research on the issue of Get and Halakhic divorces.
Drugu Akademsku istraživačku nagradu, koju dodjeluje ICJW , dobila je Dr. Nechama Hadari iz UK za istraživanje pitanja GETA i RAZVODA PREMA HALAHI.
Nagrada se sastoji od 1.000 $ honorara i daje se za izvanredni doprinos u originalnom istraživanju na temama koje doprinose razumijevanju uloge židovskih žena i unapređuju njihovu situaciju i/ili evaluiraju mjesto koje imaju žene u dominantnoj muškoj strukturi u židovskom životu.
The winner, Dr. Nechama Hadari, is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew & Jewish Studies, but wrote her PhD thesis while studying at the University of Manchester’s Agunah Research Unit. The title of her thesis was: “Towards a definition of will in the context of the granting of a halakhic divorce,” and it has also resulted in the publication of a book entitled “The Kosher Get – A Halakhic Story of Divorce.”
