US slams UNHRC's "excessive, biased focus on Israel"
US Secretary of State John Kerry issued a sharp rebuke of the UN Human Rights Council, shortly after Washington was re-elected as a member on Saturday.“While important challenges remain, including ending the Council’s excessive and biased focus on Israel,”
John Kerry, sekretar USA je poslao oštru primjedbu UNHRC-eru ( UN Human Right Council), nakon što je Washington ponvno izabran za člana.
UN Glavna skupština je izabrala 14 novih članova concila: Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, Iraq, Japan, Rwanda, Tunisia, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, China, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.
KERRY JE REKAO: DOK VAŽNI IZAZOVI OSTAJU , UKLJUČUJUĆI FOKUSIRANJE NA IZRAEL , MI OČEKUJEMO DA ĆEMO SURAĐIVATI S ČLANOVIMA CONCILA NA TEMAMA KOJE SE ODNOSE NA BRIGU O LJUDSKIM PRAVIMA. O NJIHOVOM UNAPREĐENJU U SVIJETU I DA OSIGURAMO DA CONCIL ISPUNI U POTPUNOSTI SVOJU ULOGU.
Izrael je bio jedina zemlja koja je bila stalna specifična tema na dosadašnjem programu concila sa diskusijama o židovskoj državi koje su često bile anti - izraelske.
