Jewish leader awarded with Order of Civil Merit
|
Dr.Alexander Oscar, the President of Shalom Organisation of Jews in Bulgaria, the country’s EJC affiliate, has been awarded with the Order of Civil Merit by President Rumen Radev for his outstanding achievements for the development of civil society, the protection of human rights and freedoms, and the strengthening of democratic institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Dr. Alexander Oscar, predsjednik "Shalom Organization" Židova u Bugarskoj, koja je član Europskog židovskog kongresa, odlikovan je ordenom " Civit merit". Orden mu je predao predsjednik Rumen Radev, za njegove izvanredne zasluge za razvoj civilnog društva, zaštitu ljudskih prava i sloboda i za jačanje demokratskih institucija u Bugarskoj.
Brojne su organizacije predložile dr. Oscara za nagradu zbog njegove borbe protiv antisemitizma i govora mržnje i njegovog aktivnog doprinosa u kampanjama organiziranih za zdravlje
djece
