Film "u zemlji krvi i meda" u Holocaust muzeju u Washingtonu
|
Dear Melita,
I want to thank the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum community for your extraordinary support during our year-end fundraising campaign....
Also in January, actress/director Angelina Jolie chose the Museum for the DC premiere of her new film, In the Land of Blood and Honey. The film is set against the backdrop of the genocide in Srebrenica during the 1990s. Watch a short video clip of Jolie speaking about the film.
The audience for this event, hosted by the Museum's genocide prevention program, included Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, former Senator Chris Dodd, and a host of diplomats, policy experts, and White House staffers.
During their visit, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt toured our contemporary genocide exhibition, From Memory to Action: Meeting the Challenge of Genocide, which encourages visitors to make a personal pledge to take action against genocide.
By preserving the history of the Holocaust and teaching its lessons to young people like Will, we can all help shape a future free from hate and genocide.
I'm grateful for your continued commitment to this important effort.
Sincerely, Lorna Miles, CMO
