Academic Jewish Studies update

Applications to our Academic Jewish Studies programme will open later in the autumn with one new category launching in the next couple of weeks.

Westerbork Film rstoration 


The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision has restored a film shot in 1944 at the Westerbork transit camp. It mostly shows the activity of the camp but also captured the transport on 19 May to Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen.


Our Medieval City!
The Jewish Museum Vienna has opened a new core exhibition in its building on Judenplatz.
It tells the story of the thriving 13th century community that turned Vienna into a centre for Jewish knowledge, until the Jews were expelled in 1421.

European Days of Jewish Culture


This annual festival organised by the AEPJ, takes place this month in 36 European countries with conferences, concerts, performances and guided tours exploring the theme of ‘Dialogue’.
The National Library of Israel’s Gesher L’Europa team has produced a downloadable exhibition that can be used by festival coordinators across Europe 

Voices in Jewish Communal Life


Mila Stojanovic is the Executive Director of the European Union of Jewish Students, the umbrella organisation for national student unions in 36 countries. EUJS enables young Jews from small communities to grow as communal professionals and enrich Jewish life in Europe.
