On
the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vel d’Hiv roundup, which resulted
in the arrest of 13,152 Jews in Paris and its inner suburbs, the Representative
Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) asked Luigi Toscano to photograph
Holocaust survivors.
Some 40 portraits of French Holocaust survivors will be exhibited
in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, from July 9 to August 7, 2022.
Forty-two
portraits of former deportees from Nazi concentration and extermination camps,
but also of former hidden children, taken by the German-Italian photographer
and videographer Luigi Toscano, will be hung on the railings of the garden
which adjoins the Senate.
Under each
photo, a corresponding QR code will allow the visitor to discover the story
of each person photographed and their full testimony.
This
exhibition was proudly supported by the European Jewish Fund (EJF), among other
organisations.

Oko 40 portreta holokaust preživjelih biti će izloženo u "Jardin du Luxembourg" (park) u Parizu od 9. srpnja do 7. kolovoza 2022.
Četrdeset i dva portreta se odnose na bivše zatočenike nacističkih koncentracijskih logora i logora smrti, ali i ima portreta nekadašnje "skrivene djece" To je snimio njemačko-talijanski fotograf Luigi Toscano, te će portreti bit će izvješena na ogradama parka koji graniči sa Senatom.
