Oskar Deutsch has been re-elected as President of the Jewish Community Vienna (IKG).
At the constitutive meeting of the cultural board of the IKG, Deutsch who has been in office since 2012, received 22 out of 23 votes.
Michael Galibov and Claudia Prutscher were elected Vice-Presidents. Prutscher, who had previously served as vice-president, ran for the IKG election on Deutsch’s ATID, Galibov list for the Association of Bukharan Jews.
The newly constituted cultural board was elected in November 2022. The ATID list was able to keep its eight mandates in the 24-strong body.
The Sephardim-Bukharian Jews (VBJ) were the second strongest group with seven seats.
